Microdermabrasion is a holistic approach to skin rejuvenation.  We recommend a 6 week programme which involves weekly 30 minute treatments combined with simple lifestyle changes.


Microdermabrasion works by removing dead skin cells, each layer at a time, with the use of a fine jet of crystals gently striking the skin.  During this time there is also a vacuum which sweeps up the dead skin and the crystals.  This process encourages the production of collagen and elastin.  The results is younger looking skin.

Lifestyle Changes


There are 8 simple rules to follow which will ensure you can improve your skin from the inside.  Follow the course of weekly treatments and the 8 simple rules and you will see an improvement in the condition of your skin.


1. Drink 1.5 litres of mineral water per day

2. No tea or coffee after lunch

3. Breakfast everyday on either porridge, fruit/yoghurt smoothie or 2/3 pieces of fruit.

4. Beyond breakfast eat what you would usually eat, however, replace any white refined carbohydrates with brown unrefined carbohydrates.

5. Avoid cigarettes

6. Avoid alcohol consumption

7. Exercise for 25 minutes 3 times a week

8. Follow a simple daily skin care routine, cleansing and moisturising according to your skin type.



Aftercare Advice

Please ensure you adhere to the following advice after treatment


For 12 Hours - No heavy make-up


For 24 Hours - No swimming, No facial waxing


For 48 Hours - No Botox, collagen injections or dermal fillers.  No sun exposure, sauna, sun bed or heat treatments.


For 72 Hours - Do not use anti-ageing creams.  Do not use any AHA's, glycolics, retinol or exfoliating products.


Sun Protection factor of at least SPF15 must be applied.


If skin feels hot, splash with cold water, pat dry and moisturise regularly with a gentle, hydrating moisturiser.  Regular moisturiser applications are vital to replenish moisture and prevent the skin from becoming dry and peeling.


Most side effects are temporary and generally subside within 72 hours.
